Try this sometime. Buy a decent quaility laser pointer (uses 2-AAA's) and after nightfall go out of doors and onto a clearing with trees close and far other objects as well. Now familiarize yourself with the pointer, take 5-minutes and play. Now point to a tree say 20-yards in the foreground and slowly move the point up, down, and across the tree and others that may be around. Take your time, follow the point. Activate and recall the point several times. I am sure after 30 minutes to 1-hour and viewing with an open mind Questions of what you saw will strike the couriosity of answers.

I live in a city...not a lot of places you can go outside and get darkness. What curiosities are you referring to?

The nominal Red dot will displace eather energy stored on or that is surrounding trees. Also the the beam will at times will take 1-5 seconds to come to full brilliance upon striking an object be it 100' or 1000' in distance. Give it a whirl.:):)
