    Hi posters

    i hope all is going ok.

    when haerd this last night, i was comletely and utterly speechless!!!!

    but he is right we are not doing enough to fight terrorism, hence his regime of nasties are still in power!!! But for him to actually say it reaks of......................................................................................................................

    what is this some sort of diversry statement to make people think that they are actually against terorrism, kinda like a double pyschology type thing i guess

    Saying that Alqueda has its roots in the house of Saud and their whabbist ideology, these sort of comments just dont seem to bode well with me...

    I cant wait for the day this country runs out of oil so they cant waste their money on the horses, wine and girls and living like a bunch of pre-madonas.

    A throughly evil regime in my humble opinion..

    forget Iran, the KSA is who we need to target in this "war on terror"

    i cant even ,make an anlagy at the moment for his comments ebcuase they are just not accuarte enoguh, bbut i ahve some rough ideas in my mind that i will share with you guys later

    thanks for reading
    ~~~~~~~~
    cheers
    I'm saying the house of Saud has no problem grabbing and killing anyone they say is a terrorist in their land. The UK doesn't have that kind of legal right.
    Of course they aren't going to do as well.
    Good to see that someone reads fisk.., He's a good Primary source on the middle east.
    It's hypocrisy to the extreme, Just how much of a gap is there between the rich and the poor in that country ?
    Fisk is an absolute legend and in my opinion as un-biased as possible.. he just reports stuff how he sees it., and he lives in Lebaon which means that he talks to a lot fo the people who are directly affected by the policies of the fucked up leaders!!
    unfortunately robert fisk is reitring at the end of the year i think..
    he is so hard on himself, he says he is a complete and utter failure, cos nothing has changed in all his years of writing!!!
    I would lvoe to meet the guy and shake his hand, almost every article he writes makes complete sense!!
    NOOOOOOOOO.....:bawl:
    If it weren't for journalists like him, Dahr Jamail, John Pilger and certain academics we wouldn't know about our (the west)'s history of intervention in the middle east. Half my education about that area was from him..wait make that three quarters.
    I'm in the process of reading his book, and while it's a hard read (1300 pages, non fiction), It makes sense.
    I think i'm be one of the others that beg to differ. He does have a point though, It seems like everything he's risked, seems for nothing, as the wars still continue, Remember he was in both Iran and Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war, the first gulf war..
    And nothing he's done could have prevented the current Iraq war which has had unparalleled horror. (which he's witnessed first hand).
    Damn, Now we have to fish through the mainstream media, to find out what's true and what's not.
    Fisk seems kind of ignorant about a few things.
    The Saudis own the Muslim slice of the region because they have a deal with the US, and probably Israel. The obvious evidence of this is how the Saudis are still there after a dozen or so of their citizens pulled off 911.
    If someone, terrorist group, in the region was planning a terrorist attack the Saudis would probably know about it. In knowing about it they would probably share the info with the target of the terrorists, or get blamed for not sharing the info after the attack. For Fisk to think the Saudis are dumb because they don't have his refined sensibilities reeks of ignorant self importance.
    The reason nothing has changed after so many years of his writings is because the knuckle head is a journalist. Journalists report the news. They don't make it. Maybe if he gets into politics he can change something.
    I guess he and I don't think so. Have you seen much of a difference for the better based on his work?
    Saudi is regionally important to the west despite it's human right records and wahabi brainwashed citizens.
    They are Britain's top arm's customer ..they buy everything we got from toilet seats to eurofighters!!...which is good coz it keeps british jobs thriving. On the other hand the government is not really interested in provoking the Saudi's. Saudi will be important in quelling the appetide of a very hungry Iran in the future. They could be the proxy state the west needs just to keep Iran at bay...
    A lot of grass roots and Left wing movements rely on him for their information , but no, i haven't seen much change, but seeing no results isn't reason for quitting, but i understand he has a personal life, and wishes to get back to it.
