As many of you may know, the K6-3 chips of 333Mhz, and 400Mhz are designed to be used on both 66Mhz and 100Mhz FSB speeds. If the FSB isn't a problem, do you guys think that getting a 333Mhz K6-3 to underclock to 200Mhz or 233Mhz for an older Socket 7 board would be a real problem?

I don't think that it will be a problem (the processor will adapt its frequencyto the FSB speed). However, don't you want to change your motherboard?

I can't on this rig... it is an IBM 300GL (proprietary board). I just want the K6-3 so I can get a CPU with internal cache. This thing is for old games... (as in DOS and Windows 95 games)
