The guys over at RetroCrush, one of the most outstanding sites on the web, have put together their list of the 100 Scariest Movie Scenes Of All Time (http://www.retrocrush.com/scary/). I personally think 1 and 2 should switch places, but it's a remarkably astute and entertaining summation of all the movie moments that ever made you jump.

:m: Peace.

You know, somehow, I can not think of a movie that would make me shiver now. Is it because scary movies are scary only while we're children, or is it because they don't make scary movies anymore?
Anyways, that list missed my favorite scary ones; unfortunately I do not remember the names of the movies.

At least some of them may succeed in sending somebody to hospital for urgent heart surgery.....

I think it's the former. You're more vulnerable as a child, thus more easily frightened.
When's the last time you were afraid of something under the bed?
