I can't run Java applets in my Windows 98 (I could before). I must have deleted careless some archive. What should I do? I don't want to erase and reinstall Windows again

I don't know much at all about java, but i know there's something going on about microsoft & sun, where windows stops using java virtual machine after sept 30th or something. try going to java.sun.com or java.com. you need a java runtime environment for applets to work (which includes JVM, plugin etc.), which you can download for free.

or, less likely, your browser is old. what kind of error are you running into when you try and run an applet?

if none of this makes sense, don't yell-- like i said i don't know a whole lot about this, i'm just guessing
