I don't give a rat shit for Michael Jackson's death. Here are my four reasons why: 1. For people who say he was a great entertainer, and raised the bar so high: what makes you think he was a bit too good of an entertainer, and raised the bar a bit too high? Artists of the pop rock genre will face a hard struggle to somewhat match what Michael did. Record companies who have publishing rights to his albums will eventually see a decline in sales, once MJ fever dies down. 2. He is just a person. Sure, he made hundreds of songs that everyone grooved to, and he danced like a maniac on the floor, but he hasn't made a song in years, and it wasn't like he would make another. It also wasn't like he was a prophet or something whispering future tragedies to the press or the Vatican. 3. So many people care, and I don't like to conform. It seems like people who conform are more accident prone, and random serial killer related murder prone. If I really cared that much, unfortunately I would end up another person in the masses of people with the same stupid common interest. 4. He is washed up. Not to mention screwed up. Like I said, hasn't recorded songs in forever, dangled his newborn over a balcony, got 20 or so nose jobs to make it look like Diana Ross's, and got addicted to pills and morphine shots. Not to mention molestation charges.
Why do you think the only options are unadulterated adulation or not giving a rat shit? Is there no middle ground? Interesting that you signed up just to post this. Obviously this is an issue you have deep feelings about, even though you don't give a rat shit.
MJ also caused his own death. He was just another entertainer out there in the vast world of pop culture icons. I've not seen so much carrying on about an entertainer since Elvis Presley died. He too killed himself so again I really do not care that much about him either. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! All this MEDIA coverage for what???
It is on a middle ground. Any lower, and I would hate MJ. I don't, I just don't care at all that he died. And no, I didn't sign up just to post this. There is a first to everything. Why not say to Neil Armstrong, "Interesting that you signed up just to go to the moon." Who says I can't have a go at things I don't like or don't care about? It separates me from others.
Ha ha ha. You are funny. I recently found out what one was, referring to one on forums. No, I am not a sock puppet. This is my first and only account here.
people and the media have nothing better to do, is what it boils down to. like how elton john got knighted, i guess the queen had nothing better to do.
Hellz yeah! I feel the same way! The ShamWow guy will never truly live up to the mass merchandising of reliable cleaning products which were sold in the blink of an eye with one exclamatory word: OxyClean!
Are you kidding? They have so many more important things to attend to. One person said on British Airwaves she paid $1,975 to see Michael Jackson in concert in the front row. Why? Because there is the possibility that while performing he might reach down and touch her hand? The memorial ceremony cost California over hundreds of millions of dollars. Now they are close to an economic bankruptcy, but I'm glad for it, they will turn to the cash crop that starts with the letter m, and ends with arijuana. :m: :m: :m:
It was sad, that he died. It didn't touch me personally of course so it was just like any other person on the news who dies unexpectedly. I felt bad for his family and friends, but I did think it strange that people who didn't even know him went to his memorial. Glad I'm not at home right now, traffic must have been crazy over there.
It's so time for people to forget him. Even me. In fact, I'm going to erase my memory of him somehow. I'm even pissing myself off by responding to this and inadvertantly perpetuating it.
