I've encountered problems sometimes when I install certain programs. I just remove them and reinstall them and most of the time that works. I don't have Vista but XP so I don't know if the same holds true or not. One way to find out. Be certain all of your security is turned off when you install it as well as all other programs. Hope that helps.:)

What's the problem?
I've had a few Issues with Vista, usually driver related, resource clashes mostly. Like the default driver that comes with a D-Link 802.11n Wireless USB adapter causing stuttering in sound playback from a RealTek 5.1 sound card. Upgrading the drivers solved this. I've heard of similar clashes from other hardware too.
So, please give more details.
i tried itunes80164 install. The install goes fine; when the I try to load iTunes up, it doesn't open, windows freezes and finally crashes (i have to do a hard press power button for 30 second reboot).
Still not able to solve the problem ... I don't know why they (Apple) people wont test their products on Vista Ultimate 64.
Btw my pc config:
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition
Core 2 Quad 2,8 G, 4 Gig RAM, 256 MB DDR RAM.
