View Full Version : It's about the smell
sisyphus__ 04-05-08, 07:25 AM Yes, the smell, that's right.
The smell of what one calls, (or says)
"It's all about wisdom"
More like, it's all about the idiots here. That is my intent. I am tierd of hearing people complain about things and thinking that they know some sort of an answer and they are real egotisticial too. Even Nietzsche himself, were he to come to this site and were to talk to me or any of you guys in this day and ag e, would faulter with egotism. That's right. Why? Why are you guys so damn egotistical?
In my opinion I am tierd of the smelly rats that think they know something. The beefey pigs that taste like pork chops or sausage. It makes me sick to my stomache and I don't know what to do with it....
Is there anyone else out there who is comfortable without egotism. Is there anyone out there who is happy. Is there anyone out there who can talk about something that makes any sense whatsoever?
Spud Emperor 04-05-08, 07:29 AM sniff, sniff,..what's that?
Smells like Sis on downward spiral!
sisyphus__ 04-05-08, 07:30 AM It's called preconceptions idiot.
What are you aiming at, specifically ?
Edit: Besides, isn't this also a whining thread ?
Spud Emperor 04-05-08, 07:32 AM It's called preconceptions idiot.
What is?
And I think you missed a comma.

Stop that incessant whinging Enmos!
It stinks.

I think it's a fair question though, since he is complaining about people complaining..
It stinks.
I'm sorry, I should have taken a shower this morning..
Spud Emperor 04-05-08, 07:40 AM I'm sorry, I should have taken a shower this morning..
Sorry Enmos, I double checked.
It's me.
Sorry Enmos, I double checked.
It's me.
I guess we both stink.. insects now take a nosedive when they come within three feet of me..

You are such a smart guy.
I never have a problem with mossies either.
People give me space at the checkout and the cops wave me straight through the RBT's ( random breath test)
Spud Emperor 04-05-08, 07:47 AM Enmos, I have a sneaking uneasy feeling that Sisyphus's last act on this mortal coil was to kill himself over a missing comma!
Although I'm blaming you!

I thought that was genuine respect..

Respect all the way guru but mossies, mosquitoes.
Ah.. mosquitoes, the natural agents of blood-letting. They are not for me. Respect them, but don't use 'em.
Fraggle Rocker 04-05-08, 07:21 PM Is there anyone else out there who is comfortable without egotism.I'm a musician, although it's not my full-time career. You can't get up on a stage or a bandstand and try to entertain people unless you have a fairly strong ego.Is there anyone out there who can talk about something that makes any sense whatsoever?People tell me I'm good at that and I often make my living at it--teaching, presentations, writing, editing. I have a particular passion for explaining things to beginners.
sisyphus__ 04-06-08, 01:59 PM I'm guessing you are saying that I am a beginner. Well, when I look at all of your big and fancy words; and all of the preconceptions that you take for granted (as I called them), it just so happens that they're pretty fanatical to me.... could be my mistake here. Seriously doubt it.........
I would agree with you [sorry I was i nterrupted had to go feed the dogs......] about your requirement for egotism above or whatever though. You know right? The part about musicians having to have some skill or whatnot; the ego.
And by the way in case you missed it,
my first few sentences expressed,
"It's all about the wisdom",
that part?
Yes. That was cobersts' nonsense. Simply hitting off of the smelly dribble that leads the sink of most of this site; if not most of everything.
Vkothii 04-06-08, 06:50 PM Is there anyone else out there who is comfortable without egotism. Is there anyone out there who is happy. Is there anyone out there who can talk about something that makes any sense whatsoever?I've seen people like this, but they were on serious daily doses of Thorazine.
So they didn't do much talking either.
As for "happy", well what's happiness, after all? When everyone agrees with everything and each other?
sisyphus__ 04-06-08, 08:44 PM Good post vkothii. Still, my point is being dismissed and untouched; this is the nature of sciforums; to lack compassion.
Irregardless, the point here may be that I may be on throizine and such but that the smell still exists;
And it is very smelly indeed.
Perhaps this is about my own egotistical feelings and a desire to express my own philosophy and feelings.
So if anyone is interested in listening all is fine; and thorizine is a anti-psychotic; correct?
raydpratt 04-06-08, 09:17 PM If you search for the google group sci.logic and go visit, you may appreciate this board a little more. That site is full of posts with symbols and terminology that I fear rose out of muddled thinking more than brilliance (I have yet to need any logic greater than Aristotelian logic, unless you count higher math as a logic that's different). Plus, here, you get to skip the porn offers and get-rich-quick offers.
As to egotism, so what? If somebody has something worth saying, what does it matter if they say it with an aristocratic air while wearing a powdered wig? I'm intermittingly reading a book now called The Art of Thinking where I was immediately put off by the 'royal' air of the writing style, but the substance of the book is actually turning out to be interesting.
If you are looking to rally up a tribal membership test, God bless you, you're human.
Very Respectfully,
Ray Donald Pratt
sisyphus__ 04-07-08, 11:45 AM Hah.
I respect this site Ray.
That said, the part about expressing symbols and things beyond comprehension is okay, I see a lot of BS here; but this isn't quite bs is it. It's typical stuff, although this writing here is probably showing the same signs of what you were refering to.
raydpratt 04-07-08, 09:10 PM The posts here are fine as far as the b.s. goes, and I'll admit to enjoying a little nonsense as much as anyone.
sisyphus__ 04-07-08, 10:39 PM Good post.
Let's see if anyone else is interested in discussing some of their "high detailed philosophies" ;
your aristolotian logic thing though was quite profound; perhaps too profound; I guess I have the problem there.
Perhaps we can do both?
Figure both sets out.
Would be fun.
