Cheney doesn't have the credibility to hold the office by direct election. He might inherit it, and therein Americans will get very nervous and perhaps even learn a lesson about voting for tickets without considering the whole candidacy of any given ticket. That's a different issue, though. Veep Dick simply does not have the credibility to get the office from the people, and it would be best if we didn't pretend he did just to advertise a web site.

I think the next administration is going to be a 1-term admin. The Iraqi mess has to run its unavoidable course (whoever wins) and the next administration is going to bear all the responsibility for the shit that WILL happen.
I doubt Cheney will run in 2008. Didn't he have 4 heart attacks already? I'd be surprised if he would endure another 4 years.

I've thought that perhaps we really need the Shrub to win again . . . or I mean, actually WIN this time - rather than somebody else inheriting this war, the economy, international fear/hatred . . . so that maybe everybody will be woken up in this nation and make some real change in 2008. After all, the Bush administration are just the boils on the surface -- symptoms of a much deeper infection - America needs to make HUGE changes and work hard if we want to thrive in the future.

But the supreme court thing is scary, the Moron Boy and his puppeteers will have the chance to select 3 new supreme court justices if they are elected - and those guys/gals can effect things in this nation for the next 20-30 years! (Kiss things like the freedom of speech in this forum goodbye if that happens).

If things are going to get worse I don't feel to bad about how Bush is going to win. :) At least Kerry won't need to take the blam.

I thought by the title that this would be about supreme court appointments. It's not just about four more years of hell, but a lifetime of Bush's pals in the highest court of the nation we have to worry about.

"RE"-elected? Maybe elected for the first time, or selected again. And it won't likely make much difference if Cheney were to become prez, he is likely one of the primary puppeteers anyways - so we'd get an uglier face on TV more often, but no real change in policy.

But I though what he was saying was that if Bush wins Cheney wiill be taking over midterm (thus not really 'four mere years') and then running for President in '08. Cheney would have to win two elections to stretch it out to 16 years. Perhaps I read it wrong.
