Mallory was a very inflammatory person from the university of Waterloo who was banned about 2 months (I think, give or take). I read Cris post on this "howard stern" person who has returned, apparently someone claimed he was killed in the WTC attacks when in fact he wasn't (I guess it is suspected that he himself faked his death). Now we have a few odd posts showing up on this board. Not a good sign.
Thanks C. I'm glad I missed Mallory. Howardstern wrote colourful posts, but went way over the line when he wrote a post purporting to be his own brother and had found howard's PC with only Sciforums window open. He wrote a heartfelt note to us all saything that Howard had not been heard from since the attack and that he spoke highly of this forum. Most of us were fooled into thinking that Howard had become a victim of the WTC attacks and wrote back to howard's "younger brother" with sympathetic messages. Speaking for myself, it upset me at the time, as I'm sure it did a few other members. When it was revealed that it was a hoax I was sickened. It still amazes me that someone would stoop to that level. I have no word to describe a person like that, and would prefer they not stay part of this community. I've been posting for almost a year now and have been amused, educated and entertained by most of the people on these forums. There are some very nice people who post here, and Howard's hoax was very disappointing. Anyway, nice to meet you, Clarentavious, thank you for the reply. Cheers, Teri
