You want to know something in 1933 when the National Socialist Party took over the Power in Gernmany, they didn't have a track record of extermination, and weren't talking about war, and it would have been natural for any group to express support for the successful future of the country, and any political party that promised to, and was leading the Country out of Depression, and end the rampant inflation that was destroying the economy of the country.

The Jews were expressing their support for Germany, the Country they lived in, not the twisted policys that became the malignant monster Nazism, that consumed the Jews, and the people of Germany.

Even Jews, don't have the gift of clairvoyance, there was no way to see the abominable that Germany would become, in 1933, and by 1939 it was to late.

That isn't true. The Nazi Party exhibited deep hatred, brutality, and belligerence before consolidating power, while most Germans assumed it would all work out OK (and while a brave few Germans stood up against tyranny and were silenced). Humanity's challenge is avoiding ignorant repetition, and there are accepted nationalist movements today that will take a similar trajectory if we allow it.

Sorry pal. Read William L. Shirer's "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" and/or John Toland's "Adolf Hitler". In both works, the authors bring light to the oddly oxymoronic fact that there was a Jewish movement afoot prior to WWII that had Jews on Hitler's side.

Why was this? Simple: Antisemitism was in vogue back then. EVERYBODY was a fracking antisemite. It was the political flavor du jour back then and was generally considered by most Jews to be part-and-partial with doing business in Germany. In many cases it was a case of "chose the lesser of two evils".

Jews were industrialists and the most powerful anti-Nazi party of the day was the Communists and nothing put the fear of Jehovah in the Jewish community as the property seizing Communists who, it just so happens, weren't all that loving of Jews either.

Didn't teh Nazis consider all Jews to be communists? Jewsih Bolshevism, I believe it was called, since many prominent members of the Bolshevik party in the Soviet Union were Jewish.

 

Yes and no. I mean, the Nazis never said much nice about Jews, let's face it. Most Nazi [mis]information was all about propaganda. But, Jews in Germany were generally quite wealthy and owned lots of businesses (thus, some of the hatred) and just preferred the "harsh talking" Nazis (who protected property rights) over the communists who would take all their riches.

Again, it was a "lesser of two evils" sort of thing.

The U.S. has been trough tough time before and we came out stronger than before, I am old enough to remember the end of WWII and the depression, and the country survived, and prospered, nothing different today, in fact we are in better shape than in 1929.............so we will wait and see, and what we will see is that the rumored demise of the U.S. is greatly exaggerated.
