Yes, Tibet does not have suicide bombers, and yes they are getting (some) international support for their cause. You say that the Muslims should learn from this. Learn from what? Although I support the use of nonviolence, to the Muslims, why should they learn from it. In case you havn't noticed, Tibet is not free, it's still controlled by China. If they Muslims look that way, they say to themselves, huh, they are nonviolent and that's getting them nowhere, we don't need international help, because look how much it's helping Tibet, so they resort to the only other measure they can think of, and that's violence.
