I opened my eyes to the sunlight of this morning, I looked to the streets, I looked to the houses, I looked to my peers, I looked to the television?but all I could see was the darkness is there no light in this world?
It is all you have. I consider life worth living ... if only for the pizza and babes Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Consider the fact you are on the internet first! See there is some sort of point in the very fact you are here talking about it. Is it worth going on your computer to ask about life worth living? Obviously you saw it worthy as a question. You certainly must see worth in what you do or youll not be doing it! do you see? thatll apply to anyone answering your question.
Somewhere in this darkness there's a light that I can't find. Maybe it's too far away...Maybe I'm just blind... ~ 3 Doors Down
you should try to write some poetry to express your feelings towdards this life........life is fun,do some traveling, and just go with itPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! -Good Luck My Friend-
I'd be lying to you if I said life was worth living. What's it worth? You get a good job. GREAT! Make lots of money. Go out partying. Fun Fun Fun. You meet some great girl! AWESOME!! Then one day, you find out your girlfriend fucked the entire community, lose your job, and in the midst of your frustration and nervous breakdown, you fail to notice the light has turned red and BAM! Smashed by an 18-wheeler. Now you're crippled and you must eat through a tube in your throat until you die. Sounds like fun to me. Life is worthless. There are risks and people say the risks are what makes it worthwhile, but truly it is not. You gain knowledge and wisdom. Sure you can pass it on and help others, but in the end it's all irrelevant. You live and work your ass off to make someone else rich and then you die. humanity = doomed
If you wander through life aimlessly you will never find satisfaction. Define a target and go for it. Life can be shit and it can be great, visualise a life that can be great for YOU and devise a way to achieve it. The simple process of working hard for something you really love or believe in strongly, in itself, makes life worth living. Do you have a regular sexual partner? Not having sex, esp if you're a teenager, can be downright depressing.
I'm gonna agree with you there, but only to a degree. And this does all relate to dejavu's question. Humanity, and what I mean by humanity is more like the majority of humanity and society etc., has dug itself into a hole, a deep one, so deep, that it can't even see the sun. I think that the darkness that results of this is what Dejavu was refering to. Peers: as in people around him, people he sees everyday. Shrouded by ignorance, and all due to the way society is. People don't think anymore. They just go on living their own lives and don't think of anything other than getting that new car, or those new clothes. TV: what can I say. TV=BS. How mindless is tv? just look at sitcoms: they tell you when to laugh! and news? well, look at fox. And its TV that most people watch. How much truly stimulating, deep and truely thoughtful television exists today? TV reflects societies values, and those values seen on TV aren't exactly what one, after some serious thought, would consider virtuous. So, yes, at the moment humanity is doomed. But still, there are people like you, plasticwingsmelting, who can see it. And people who see past the gloss and glan are the hope of humanity. The light of humanity if you will. So, Dejavu, yes, there is light in this world, and I think you're part of it. And if light exists, as it does, life is worth living. But only if that light is spread.
There is. I see in when I look into my daughters eyes (both daughters). I see it when I look into my wifey's eyes. I see it when I look in the mirror. Fact is though, you won't see it anywhere if it's not in YOU.
"Self-pity is for Christians." I must say sir that this statement is quite unnatural, if anything Christians see and hold a greater value in life. I value life if only to see how things will turn out in the future. I value life for it has granted me the chance to debate, and fight for Christianity on sciforums!
A comparative context Generally, no. But I didn't walk out of Patch Adams, either. :m:, Tiassa Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I think you may be correct about the first part, but everyone needs to find something to think about, maybe not neccessarily believe in but for a while, and then keep thinking... if nothing else, it can be a good distraction. National Socialism works for you, but perhaps not me.
Oh, and if you don't think life is worth living you should kill yourself.. there are plenty of people who would like your share of the things it takes to survive. Oh I guess you can't kill yourself because it's illegal. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Sorry, not serious of course.. but that's part of the reasoning that convinced me that question is false to begin with. Maybe if you turn it around. Are you doing anything worthwhile in your life?
Life-hating is an abomination of the gift you were given. If you don't like the gift, give it back. You have the opportunity to experience. You must have the WILL to make it worthwhile. Why not enjoy the ride? Why not do what you can to help other people enjoy it too? Don't do more than you can manage. Just a bit from everyone adds up to a lot. Be cool to people and damnit, people are cool to you.. if they aren't.. change the people you're being cool to. It's pretty simple and gaurenteed to work if you don't get damaged too badly along the way... and as far as that goes.. stars collide ya know? Your earnest best effort is all you have.
Everything is exactly as you percieve it to be! If you want light, then give us light! If you want the world to change, then you must change!
