You should never make polls. Nobody should. And I am indeed ashamed to admit I made polls in my short history on this planet and beyond.
Is Spurious right ?

I know.. :o Baron Max 10-03-07, 07:12 AM Polls don't prove anything, nor do they show anything. Polls can be slanted to "show" anything that the pollsters want to show. Polls here at sciforums is so limited in responders that it's useless except as a fun little thing to get everyone all pissed off. Most members here are liberal-to-extremely liberal, so what would you expect from any polls? If you took a poll at a gun range about gun control, what do you suppose the response would be? So taking a poll here, one would expect a liberal response. So, ...why bother with polls? Baron Max cosmictraveler 10-03-07, 07:13 AM Sometimes. Depends on the subject matter. In this case I think he is correct because you can never tell who's actually participating in them. I don't know if someone here could have 3 or 4 aliases and just overload to poll with their own views or if a moderator would use their means to change a poll. Enmos 10-03-07, 07:15 AM Polls aren't any good for getting actual data here but they can still be fun. spuriousmonkey 10-03-07, 07:16 AM Polls don't give a reliable outcome of truth. It's better to ask Baron Max's opinion and the opposite view will be automatically be correct. Except for the few occasions he is right. But then again, put an army of monkeys behind a computer and maybe by chance one day you will end up with an interesting blog. Enmos 10-03-07, 07:18 AM Polls don't give a reliable outcome of truth. Just check what position the ACLU has and you'll automatically know that I hold the opposite stance. Even after I'm dead and gone, that will still be true!
