Is Oprah supporting O'Bama just cause he's black?

Sure looks like Oprah likes O'Bama because he's an african-american. Is Oprah racist?

But, Hillary is a woman - just like Oprah. Hillary's also a democrat, just like Oprah. Why not support Hillary?

• Hillary is so unsexy that her image and voice are used in therapy sessions for sexuals offenders.

I'm sure that's a factor. I'm sure she's thrilled there's a black candidate good enough to gain her loyalty. That doesn't make her racist.

 

But, Hillary is the front runner. Why isn't Oprah backing a winner who is also a woman? Indeed, when was the last time Oprah campaigned for a Presidential candidate? Interesting time to start.

 

Hillary's front runner status isn't cemented and her nomination isn't guaranteed.

 

Come on. She's been the front runner for years now. Her administration will be Clinton redux.

 

That's one factor towards why she might not get the nomination. Not every Democrat wants Clinton redux.

 

Her nomination is a fait accompli. Oprah is pissing in the wind with her racist support of O'Bama.

 

1. Oprah's support of Obama isn't necessarily racist.

2. Hillary's nomination isn't confirmed just because you say it is.

 

Isn't "necessarily" racist - true. But, your hedging on hair splitting means even you suspect the racist undertones.

 

I don't suspect or assume anything. Admittedly I don't know enough about Oprah's relationship with Obama, but at the same time I've never seen a quote from Oprah with a "I'm supporting him because he's black" sentiment either.

So while the racist undertones might be there, I have no reason to assume it is.

 

Sure, you do. Oprah never campaigned like this before. Coincidence that O'Bama's black?

 

Perhaps Obama was just charismatic enough to sway her to campaign.

 

When a minority gets to a certain point they are or think they are responsible to help others of there kind to make it big also. Also the nice big publicity that backing Obama brings can not hurt. As for Clinton my god I hope she is not up for nomination.

Not a black man. Most likely a woman - like Margaret Thatcher.

 

Even if Oprah is backing Obama all because he's black, it doesn't mean she's racist. It's more like, hey, we finally have a black person running for president, who's also a refreshing change of pace, that looks to have a chance, time to give him all the help I can. Pride and empowerment, not racism. Backing Hillary because she's a woman too? Sure, she could have done that, but she's a Clinton.
