Because of mans ego man once thought that the sun revolved around the earth, we now know better.

We saw our selves as the center of everything then. do we still hold on to this way of thinking with the concept of a god?

All races and nations have there own concept of god. all want to think that THERE GOD is the true god above all others.

This to me, points to the same mental aspect of "we are the center of everything" with the infinity of stars and planets how self centerd we are to think our little planet is the jewel of the creator of everything.

Is the world blinded by its own ego and if so can the Human race get past this egocentric mind set?

Humanity is superior

far superior

If god died today, we would still exist.
If humanity died, god would cease to exist.

humanity is god's ultimate expression of it's own ego.

all motion is relative, so how can you say what is center and what is not?

Is the world blinded by its own ego and if so can the Human race get past this egocentric mind set?

everything in the universe is naturally selfcentered because there is no center in infinity (the universe is infinite), so the center is everywhere.

No. It is much more egoistic to think that there is no higher level of existence than what we can perceive.

This was a poor start. They thought the sun went around the earth because it looked like the sun went around the earth.
