If I understant your argument correctly. Bin Ladin made some points about US foreign policy that seemed like sound criticism. The US should become Islamic. Couldn't the US just change its foreign policy? But you must know this was a strange leap of 'logic' so I can't quite figure out what your intention really was.
I don't understand why Bin Laden should make this specific request...i.e 'the USA must convert to Islam'..is this mere bluster or is he really serious?

I am disappointed that bastard isn't dead. No one with half a brain should listen to his nonsense. To even entertain his statements is to elevate him to a position of power he doesn't deserve. His statements are at best possible clues for hunting him down.
The Iraq War was the result of that idiot Saddam playing chicken with the U.S. If he had just placed his cards on the table, there would have been no justification for the war. Islam had nothing to do with it. Unfortunately, Islam now has something to do with the problem in the post-Saddam era.
