is there an IRC chan for Sciforums? If not that'd be kick ass.

If you're interested, you first need a client www.mirc.com or www.xchat.org are popular ones. It's not too difficult once you get started. you can also find web portals for EFnet: http://chat.efnet.org/ but it's a lot easier, and more stable with a client

I would fear IRC, there is much control on those places, accidental slip ups in speech will result in banning :L
