Iran blocks BBC Persian website
BBC Persian.com usually gets 30 million page views a month
The Iranian authorities have started to block the BBC's Persian language internet site, for the first time.
The BBC says the level of traffic to the site from within Iran has dropped sharply over the last three days.
No official explanation has been given. The BBC has expressed concern at the action, saying it deprives many Iranians of a trusted source of news.

[Attempt to provoke deleted] you are a hypocrit are you not,
you daily sing the tune of freedom for palestine people, yet you deny that very freedom to iranians, the basic freedom of unbiased news.
I think the bbc knows more than you or the iranian president, if there website is being blocked or not.
In thailand my home they also block foreign websites, not news websites but british bookmakers online websites, ladbrokes, corals all banned here, you are diverted to a royal thai police website, the reason is the average wage here is only 5 dollars aday, they donnt want thais gambling it is illegal here, because of poverty.
Gambling is a vice, access to local news is not, it is a basic human right, do you deny that basic right to your iranian friends walnut.
15million hits a month, suggest to me iranians are very interested in hearing what is happening in the world, something that you are keen to censor [deleted], by your continuing support of the iranian government.
