S.A.M. 11-19-06, 07:19 PM I don't, because I don't see the point. You've never been stalked, have you? Athelwulf 11-19-06, 09:49 PM You've never been stalked, have you? No. And I don't exactly understand what it means to be stalked on a forum. Like, someone sets out to post in every thread you post in? Absane 11-19-06, 09:50 PM dork ninja more like. :( sd leopold99 11-19-06, 10:07 PM So, how many of you use Invisible Mode and why? i do. reason? i never log out. Bells 11-19-06, 10:13 PM No. And I don't exactly understand what it means to be stalked on a forum. Like, someone sets out to post in every thread you post in? More like someone who watches when you're online, and who keeps tabs of exactly what you are doing while online. And then they proceed to start sending you PM's if you aren't in the threads they want you to be in at a particular time, because they can see where you are in the forum at all times. After that, they start demanding you reply to every single one of their posts and start harrassing you in PM's. And then you have the weirdo (who shall remain nameless) who starts sending you PM's demanding you change something in your posts and attempting to use threats and intimidation in said PM's. There are all kinds. I personally like the 'invisible mode' and I do use it. leopold99 11-19-06, 10:24 PM More like someone who watches when you're online, and who keeps tabs of exactly what you are doing while online. i like looking at your ass. don't ever pull those pants up:D draqon 11-19-06, 10:29 PM So, how many of you use Invisible Mode and why? I am not. I am still alive, why should I hide? Death will take away others ability to see me. Life is short, let others see me until I perish. sargentlard 11-19-06, 11:30 PM I went invisible to hide my shame when I first joined because I use to be on here 6-7hrs a day. Now I drop by but never cared to get off the invisible mode. outlandish 11-20-06, 07:40 AM i like looking at your ass. don't ever pull those pants up:D jesus. you're begining to sound like me:bugeye: outlandish 11-20-06, 07:42 AM More like someone who watches when you're online, and who keeps tabs of exactly what you are doing while online. Athelwulf 11-20-06, 11:47 AM And then they proceed to start sending you PM's if you aren't in the threads they want you to be in at a particular time, because they can see where you are in the forum at all times. Couldn't they do this even if they didn't know where you were? After that, they start demanding you reply to every single one of their posts and start harrassing you in PM's. Do they have to know where you're spending your time in order to do this? And then you have the weirdo (who shall remain nameless) who starts sending you PM's demanding you change something in your posts and attempting to use threats and intimidation in said PM's. But they could do that to you while you're invisible too, no? Nikelodeon 11-20-06, 11:49 AM God uses Invisible Mode. I-Am-Invisible 11-20-06, 03:16 PM I'm invisible with out it :-P tablariddim 11-20-06, 04:10 PM I prefer to be visible that way I know I'm on line. Bells 11-20-06, 04:44 PM name and shame. do it, you know you want to, and you'll feel better. No. Couldn't they do this even if they didn't know where you were? Yes they could. But I've found in the past that they seem to turn up miraculously in the very thread I am participating, as I am participating in it. Lets face it, some people lurk like that. Do they have to know where you're spending your time in order to do this? No. But if they know you're online and see that you're in the forums at that particular point, they can start hassling you then and there. But they could do that to you while you're invisible too, no? True, however if they see you are online and sit there and watch where you are at that time, they can see if you are doing as they demand and if you aren't, well then the harrassment gets even worse. It's just a personal option for me. I've found it to be useful and frankly doubt I'll ever go back to not being in invisible mode. Lets face it, there are some weirdo's here, and while the invisible mode does not get rid of them entirely, it does help a little bit. Bells 11-20-06, 04:46 PM i like looking at your ass. don't ever pull those pants up:D LOL! Yes I like that avatar.:) |
