They had big parties and a parade in Afganistan today for International Women's Day, they even had their faces uncovered.

And when the women all got home, their husbands or fathers beat the shit outta' them for disobedience and for being out in public (or whatever) without a man with them.

Probably, but that could change with more understanding about the benefits of women being allowed to be themselves.

The biggest mistake in human history was giving women the right to vote and equal rights!!

The Baron doesn't like to have to give his wife $10 per week rather than $2 per week for her mad money.

It is interesting that Hallmark hasn't lobbied for this in the USA, specially because it originated here:

History

The first IWD was observed on 28 February 1909 in the United States following a declaration by the Socialist Party of America. Among other relevant historic events, it commemorates the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire (New York, 1911), where over 140 women lost their lives.

I mean we have secretary's day and grandfather's day, but no IWD????

P.S.: I grew up celebrating IWD and as a tradition, I would like to gice a rose to Singularity...Old fashioned way....

Please note the date when the movement originated from. The time of sufragettes....
