You basically just posted an identical thread (close enough to be called identical). That's called overriding moderation.

I have an "xmas" tree and all the trimmings. We celebrate the solstice as a time of impending renewal and the brightening of the longest and darkest watches of the night in the great traditions stretching back to long before there was any concept of xians.

We share a bond with those that depended on recognizing these critical seasonal turning points and built great structures to mark them (stonehenge for example).
