Innocent vs Arrogant Stupidity

Arrogant stupidity is when a person purposely and willfully plays stupid as a means of gaining power. In order to avoid power in all its forms, we must be 180 degrees opposite to any self-centric and self-induced emotion.

Innocent stupidity can fill a list of many on sciforums. I am sure Satyr would be so kind as to embark upon the creation of such a list, to which IAC would assume the number one position (btw, in no way do I appoint myself as their superior in intellect, rather I just act the part without believing it, as that requires merely ignoring the ego's whimsical desires). Innocent stupidity is not as unfortunate as arrogant stupidity - because at least it is loved by many. Ophiolite is an example of arrogant stupidity for calling me a "jackass", he better be sulking in fear for the wrath of Myuu, who I shall call upon to smithe him if he does not immediately make it up to me in this thread by an apology or an offering or a direct plead for mercy, to which we will all laugh and bond in the stupidity of his humility (again, I am not being arrogant, whatever arrogance you interpret here is your own, it is merely efficiency of communication in expression of preference (for everything said about Ophiolite), no emotion or ego included, only preference).

If one is not innocently stupid themselves, then one can easily pick out the arrogantly stupid. The can't(and don't) act stupid all the time.

 

what does stupid define as?

if i do not know something? or if i have not yet aquired the knowledge that others have already gained?.

or if i choose to be stubborn and not open my mind to new ideas?

i am stupid if it means in this case that i do not know the type of things that most people here know, but i do know alot of things that most people here do not know,

i am innocent stupid, in some ways.

Fascinating. May I ask exactly when I called you a jackass? Frankly I don't even recognise your name. If I have commented upon one or more of your posts you may rest assured I was relating to the content, and not your identity.
Further, if I called you a jackass (which would be unusual - its not a word I commonly employ) I am reasonably confident you deserved it.
My general advice to persons who wish to avoid condemnation for stupidity is 'stop being stupid'.
Could you also explain how calling you a jackass would meet your definition of arrogant stupidity? In other words, in what way would calling you a jackass be an example of me playing stupid to gain power? I mean power over whom? Over you? Why would I want power over someone I don't know, and who holds little interest for me?

No. I stated that there was a possibility that people who believed in corrupt interpretations of the Bible (i.e. fundamentalist) might well end up in hell.
