Who is looking forward to this movie?

    Who isn't? Why not?

I'm not expecting historical accuracy, but I'm expecting the great dialogue and over-the-top violence that Tarantino usually delivers.

I've read terrible reviews for it. Plus it's meant to be very gory and to be honest I don't like to watch blood, guts and cruelty on film.

Of course I'll see it, it looks much better than the other film with a similar name.

But what if it's directed at people who deserve the cruelty, such as Nazis, communists, or people who think the Beatles were better than the Rolling Stones?

Yeah, it wasn't too bad I guess, but this one looks much better.

What if it's directed at people who lump communists in with Nazis & people who think the Beatles were better than the Rolling Stones?

Do not forget that Russia was an ally during the second world war and helped bring down the Hitler regime but also lost millions of people during that war as well. I will not watch more war movies that just keep bringing up the past over and over and over...ad nausea.

Not only was Russia an ally but I strongly doubt we would've won if they'd been neutral & we definitely would have lost if Russia had been on Germany's side.

Bit difficult to remain neutral when a couple million troops swarm across your border.

Ironically, up 'til then, they were on Germany's side - at least on paper.

    edit:
Hell's Bells - I've forotten the matter at hand...

I'll likely see this film. No doubt it's got as much to do with WW2 as 300 did with the Battle of Thermopylae, but that won't necessarily make it any less entertaining.

Tarintino is the most overrated director working in Hollywood.

Commies are just as bad as Nazis, perhaps even worse. They had a higher death toll.

But. . . but. . . but, he made "Kill Bill" and "Pulp Fiction"!

I think it's down to taste. Quentin is rather stylized in his directing.

I loved his early stuff: Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, From Dusk to Dawn. Kill Bill I wasn't too impressed by, nor did I really care for Jackie Brown. I'm hoping this new movie is good.

I agree with you on that, very shallow content to his films only allot of stylization and slick editing for the effects. Very weak films for the most part unless you enjoy a blood letting film.

I'll watch this movie if it's nonsesensical, gory fictional fun. But if it, for one second, tries to teach me something, I'll walk out. I don't think Tarintino will dissapoint so I'll take a chance.
