Once again I didn't know where to post this so if this is not in the correct place an admin will move it eventually...

I know there's many theorys here on sciforums related to time travel or time itself but, while I was eating a while ago, I kept imagining things about this, things that can't be associated with any formulas or any past theorys, things that are impossible to do now and most probably in the near future.

Forget all formulas, forget all the laws of physic, forget everything that you've learn till now, just for a few secs...

Ok, imagine this character, Bolba, had a time device of some sort, a car like that one in the movie Back to the Future, or even a flying machine. Now, imagine Bolba could use this car whenever he wished to and now, after lunch, Bolba wants to visit the past... " The Past?" - bolba says - " I'm gonna visit the past alright, I'm going to visit God, at the garden of Eden" ( imagine Bolba knew the exact moment )... So bolba sets the machine to travel back to the garden of eden, right after or before God created Adam....

Bolba arrives precisely at the time , precisely WHERE God was...

Again, imagine all of this was possible...

What would God say? something like " oops" or " oh, i was waiting for you Adam, this is Carl...well, bye carl, you're no longer needed" or " You're late.."

I know this is bollocks but I really had to post this and there's a lot of questions you can take from this "idea" but not even one answer I'm afraid:

Is God, god of the Past, Present and Future?
Is there a God for every infinity of a millisecond? Omnipotent?
Would Bolba be Adam?

Well, bring it on...I'll post more about this if there's any feedback...

I don't beleave in God or correct spelling but it would be posible to travle back in time. If one was able to thay would never be able to travle back to there "home" time because by travleing back in time thay would split there own time-line and be stuck in the "new" time-line and the old one would not change but the new one would start at the time that the person entered and continue on with the new event that would happen.

Mmh, if you travel back in time, would there be any people? Or god for that matter? I mean, we are moving on, we do not live yesterday, but today. We have moved on, if there would be a me when you travel back to last week, then I would have split up in more than one existence.

I suppose you would only find a lot of empty landscape in the past... but of course, I might be mistaken. Better travel back in time and take a look. :D

Acording to my thoery I posted earlyer there would be life and all that but you'd be in a new time-line and if you tried to go back to the future you would go to the future but you'd create yet another time-line that would move differently from the origanal one.

I seen the movie Langoliers, and I've read the book too, it's very good.

Langoliers was a decent flick.

And Mew, according to the Christians, God exists outside of time. So, your first couple a questions are all matters of faith, pretty much.

Well guys, this was just a random thought I had at lunch, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever but hey, thanks guys for wasting some minutes to answer my thread...

Now, following my first line of thought about this, I can imagine that God should already know that this was going to happen, God should know that bolba would arrive precisely at that certain time therefore he should be "ready" to receive him, this according to the Almighty Omnipotent christian God ...this knowing that God doesn't "live" in this plane of existence, therefore Time is nothing for him but...if time is nothing for God, God couldn't be in the past because there's no past for God ? sorry :|

Now, if that could be possible, Bolba travelling back in time and finding God in the garden of eden, God couldn't live in another plane of existence so God would be like, a "young God" and he would be surprised to see Bolba there but again, this is kind of stupid and useless to think about although I think it's quite fun to imagine this kind of things while you're having lunch :P

If you where to go into the 5th dimention, the 4th being time, than you'd be able to travle through time and space with little energy, but you humans havn't the power to open up a gate to the 5th dimention or the knowledge to travle in it.
