Many children of immigrants into England are now emigrating back to Asian countries such as India, as there are better opportunities there.

As many as one in ten British citizens are now reported to be living in other countries.

Is this a trend that is set to continue?
Will it become more desirable to live in what are now 'developing countries' and less desirable to live in the west?

If those coutries would allow free speech and religion, then Westerners would feel more safe in moving there.

There is a growing trickle out of the U.S. as well, and not especially the children of immigrants. Young Americans with vision and industry are relocating to the more stable countries of the former Soviet Bloc. A friend's son started a software house in Estonia three years ago, is doing very well, loves the place, and has been cheerfully and pragmatically welcomed by the natives for doing far more for them than two generations of Russians ever did. I read of people going to Bohemia (my mother spat at the politically-correct name "Czech Republic"), Poland and Hungary for similar reasons and having similar experiences.

As the West gets sick of multiculturalism, home doesn't seem so bad after all.
For the past couple years I've been fantasizing about living in Brazil or India.. mainly for the tropical climate. But also the good food, good women and culture.
Then again I could move to a thousand km west Vancouver.. :)

There are currently a good number of expats working in India. While the safety and religion are not much of a problem, it will surely take a little time for the locals to see some white-skinned among them on a day to day basis! :)
