I agree, this is a different thread. Photos that changed the way people think, not just famous...

Not sure about the first pic but the seal clubbing pic was one of if not the first that showed the British public what happened during the Canadian seal slaughter over 40 years ago.

Buchenwald. Patton ordered German civilians to march through the camp, so they could see what they had done as a nation. Thats what we need today. More civilians walking through the destruction their countries have wrought.

    Which brings me to:

TV just doesn't cover it for us. It makes it all happy and nice to be in war.

But he's just doing his job... Employment is a derived demand from the demand for goods and services.

just doin his job. (edit: oops challenger beat me to it.) i think your time would be better spent explaining to him (better yet the industry) why its wrong.

i think if you're going to start hurting people, there are far better places to start.

Yea, but he picked the job himself, did he not ?
Also, if I have to explain to him why it's wrong he has bigger problems than I can help him with..

I wonder if he would mind his neighbor clubbing his little doggy to death..

Dude, how else would we get the fur?

"The traditional way of life of many aboriginal Canadians, Alaskans, ‘Cajun’ Louisianans, Siberians, Namibians and Afghans involves hunting, fishing, trapping or herding.

Fur gives these people the possibility of maintaining and reinforcing their traditional lifestyle and cultural values. Fur also contributes to many economies in different parts of the world. Find out some facts and figures about this and the important role fur production, manufacturing or retailing plays in these communities."

That picture almost killed the trade for Greenlander inuits when they were actually using traditional means of killing the animals

I don't know about you, but I don't need any fur.
I've got natural fur of my own
