    Ok heres the crack down.
i have 75 small oval speakers that i have salvaged from my uncles basement. (he runs a telescommunicatiosn buisness.

I know that they are dual voice coil. I have no idea of the Ohm's or any of that stuff.

What do you think each is worth?

P.S. I tested some and they sound O.K. but not as good as modern ones. They still sound ok though.

You might be able to get 50 cents a piece for them, at a swap meet. Small speakers with known pedegrees are dirt cheap, they'd have to be cheaper than dirt to get someone to buy salvaged ones.

Manga are Japanese comic books. My favorite title is "Oh, My Goddess!", by Kusuke Fujishima, from which you may deduce that I'm an incurable romantic.

Battlebots? It's a competition where you build combat robots, and fight them against other builders' creations. Loads of fun, in a violent, expensive sort of way. Sort of a remote controlled demolition derby with chainsaws and pneumatically powered hammers.

You could make a big speaker out of it and use it as a sub-woofer. Use 64 of them mounted on a plywood in a 8X8 grid.

You have to experiment with the ohms. Try connecting each 8 serially and the group (8) parrallel.

Thanks for the lesson, Brett. It made me smile.

It does kinda bring to mind the old saying that men never grow up but don't take offence to that because you're in good company. Anyway, when I read the title of this thread I thought he was talking about public speakers! Go figure.

    Cheers.
    Teri

PS: I still watch Loony Tunes cartoons
