No, but the truth is, white is every colour in the spectrum. We are tlaking rainbows here, not paint. Check out Pink FLoyd's "dark side of the moon" cover and have a look.

So it's the absense of visible colour.

And this about white.

Technically speaking, white is not a color at all, but rather the combination of all the colors of the visible light spectrum
