The lastest idea from emergency staff, originating from an ambo in the london bombings, is to put an emergancy phone number under ICE in your mobile.

It's a great idea, but don't forget to tell the person or persons all of the pertinent info about yourself ...to many people just assume others know that, for example, you're allergic to aspirin or whatever. If the doctors contact the person, they're gonna' ask a lot of medical questions ...that person should know something. ...not just that you're cute or that you're fat and ugly!

I keep a list of the medications I'm taking in my wallet as well as emergency phone numbers to call. I don't own a cell phone BTW so this would be useless to me.

Doesn't each manufacturer have a different way to extract the phone numers or messages from it? Wouldn't that be something that could prevent the emergancy room techs getting or retrieving the information?


Not everyone knows how to operate all cell phones and they change functions every day it seems with new models being introduced.
