Who needs who most?

Can clinton affford to piss off Obama and his supporters? 'If' she wins the nomination does she more or less 'have to' have Obama on the ticket as VP?

In reverse...Obama doesn't need Clinton (doubtful she would accept second banana regardless).

What's in Obama's interest? If Hilary wins she'll lkely be President for 8 years (at least definitely also the candidate in 2012).

If Clinton loses the election in November then 2012 becomes Obama's nomination on a platter. Does Obama want to run on 2012 or have to wait until 2016? Does he 'sort of' sabotage Clinton in November?

A couple months ago I thought Clinton was odds on favorite to be the next President. Now I'm not so sure. A Clinton/ McCain fight might be close and, without Obama on the ticket, maybe not so good for the Demos.

Really wierd but I may have been right for all the wrong reasons. :bugeye: Three years ago I thought McCain would be the next president...up until recently i would have cried if i had bet money on it. BUT....through a bunch of unexpected twists, McCain once again just might be the next president. In between I thought Giulliani then Clinton, then possible Obama....but McCain, if not 'the' favorite is at least 'a' favorite again in the betting.

What if it all a ploy and eventually they combine their forces to join together as Pres &Vice Pres candidates?

If Clinton angers Obama supporters, she will look bad. If she gets the nomination, she doesn't need anyone, and I doubt she would pick Obama, since they are both strong personality types. If Clinton wins, she may not go two terms, we just have to wait and see. McCain will be the nominee, but he won't win, there's just too much animosity towards the Republican party right now.
