I support freedom too. There is no such thing as giving up freedom for security. The point of security is to secure your freedom. Anybody telling you to give up freedom for security is scamming you. The more freedom you give up, the less secure you are.
Most people don't even know what freedom is. I order for me to give an example, you have to understand the concept of freedom which likeley you don't.
your living in a fantasy world arent youPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! the simplest example would be helmet laws right up to airlines xraying my b***s.
Are you also advocating freedom for murderers, rapists, robbers, mugger, burglars, thieves, child molesters, .....? If not, ...? Baron Max
What is going to happen is what happens everytime we discuss freedom. Idiots start discussing the 3 different types of freedom interchangeably as if they are one and the same thing. It doesn't work.
Well, let's discuss your ideas of freedom. With freedom that you propose, are you also giving freedom to murderers, rapists, child molesters, thieves, armed robbers, etc? And if not, then aren't you taking away their freedoms? See? Your ideas of freedom are to give it only a select few who happen to meet requirements that YOU set. And if you do that, then isn't it exactly what we have now? Baron Max
NASA has many types of security not only on the ground but in the air during lift off of rockets. Nothing NASA does intrudes on your personal freedoms that I can think off.
Astronauts cannot go on spacewalks anytime they feel like. Of course, this is for common sense reasons, but you can try to refute my claim if you wish. Please tell me what freedom is. I want to learn. I do know when my freedom, whatever it may be, is infringed.
Our lives are documented from birth, companies can find out all about us from data collected, right down to what tooth paste one uses, in the UK cameras watch our every move, insurance companies no longer worry about points on ones licence as speeding cameras have caught half the population (just another tax), the fine for smoking where one shouldn't is almost the same as a shop lifting, and just about any one can come into our houses from pest controllers to tv licence authority people.
What an odd thing to say??? If you know when your freedom is being infringed, then you MUST know what freedom is! So, ....please be so kind as to tell us. Baron Max
I was being sarcastic for the first half of my post. I asked CS to give an example of security that does not infringe on my freedom in ANY way. He said I don't even know what freedom is as a response. That was my ticket to be sarcastic.
You can not have a discussion on when nobody in the discussion is willing to come to an agreement on what we will use as the meaning of freedom. With freedom you propose, perhaps you should be free to go learn how to read.
That is because I have not offered one. What makes you want to use my interpretation? You don't even know what it is. Shouldn't you know what it is before preselecting it? Or do you want to use them for the sake of this discussion regardless?
This is why I keep asking you what freedom is. How in the hell can I have a discussion with you about freedom versus security if we don't even agree on the terms? You claim I don't know what freedom is. Well obviously you must be some authority, yes? Show me.
