Slugs are amazing creatures. In Oregon, we have huge banana slugs that can stretch 8-10 inches! I'm sure their life is rich in sensory experience, and just as pointless as yours.

But the slug serves a purpose. It eats algee and shit and helps stabilize the life cycle. So, in a way, as long as it is part of the life cycle, it has a purpose. Kinda like people I suppose.
