What is the last number before you would hit infinite?

I'll tell you as soon as you tell me what number equals infinity. ;)

(Hint: there IS no "last" number.)

If you name a number, lackofskill, I can always name a number which is larger - just by adding one to your number.

That suggests to me that there is no highest number.

Interestingly, subtracting one (or any finite number) from infinity still leaves you with infinity.
