I need help getting an appraisal o.o?

I don't want to post a picture of the item yet because I'm not sure if it's aloud... So if someone gives me the ok, can someone help me get information and a price range for this antique looking dagger here? I found it in my attic when we first moved in like 10 years ago. I used have sword fights with it as a kid. If not a price just information about it please. I figured this would be the best place to ask, plus I didn't know which section this should go in. Thanks in advance.

yo the historical value of the dagger can really raise its price. Carbon dating of it might help. Where was it found? Who used it? What info is on it? Who made it?

Take it to a local antique shop, they might be able to help you. Or wait in line to go on "antiques roadshow"

Looks like a Sikh dagger, maybe silver.

 

Seen one before and I must agree it looks like a Sikh dagger :bugeye:

 

Sikh Dagger.. Thanks, I'll look it up. It's gold with a ruby and 2 emeralds on the handle.
