View Full Version : I didn't think it was that bad

I decided to watch the first five minutes of Battlestar Galactica last night, to get a picture of whether it was good or not. Suffice to say I wound up watching the whole thing and I really enjoyed it. The acting seemed a bit melodramatic at times and the sense that everything was gone--the "oh my god, they got this, they killed him, this city has been destroyed, oh my god" kind of got annoying after awhile. But I still enjoyed it and I plan on watching it tonight.

The Captain dude had really bad skin though. That was distracting.

I thought it was a good change not having a bunch of models on a show. A good change from Enterprise, which is the only other spacecraftis show left.

Yeah the effects were quite decent, it didn't look like they used any scale models to me. They weren't blockbuster quality but they had a nice style to them. Definitely on par with Farscape's effects, anyway.

Nah, they were good CG... but not too good. Better then most shows on TV. They kind of reminded me of the Firefly effects.

I liked justabout everything except the cylon woman. She (the actress, not just the character) needs to be blown out an airlock.

I didn't have a problem with her. What did she do wrong?

I enjoyed the whole thing and would like to see more wacky adventures from the new and improved(tm) battlestar galactica universe, so long as they include more of the old fashioned toaster cyclons.

I liked it seen two shows already.

the only part that I thought was weird is that they had a priestest on board to make her president (how convinient), Yea!! right.

and then the burial part after the nuke hit the Galactica.. Throwing trace of some kind of religion from another civiliztion light years away, sounds too radical to me.. Funny the first one Galactica 1978 I don't recall some of this parts. Though I was not an atheist when I was a child, might of not picked it up then.

Godless.

I do hope you realize it was a pilot episode. Now it needs a network, hopefully scifi.
