The reasoning is really simple:

1. Any Democratic candidate should have a decent 10% lead over any Republican candidate this time after 7 years of W... Since it isn't the case, this just shows the incompetence of the Dems.

2. In Diebold we trust. They already fixed the game once, the second time it will be even easier.

3. Always bet against your team (or desired candidate) then it is a win-win situation. You either win money, or your candidate wins.

4. Americans are generally conservative and the dems will be divided and pissed, no matter who is their candidate.

5. Let's not forget Nader...

So who wants to bet???

A number was being thrown around recently as to what percentage of Democrats would vote for John McCain if their Democratic candidate (Hillary or Barack) lost. The number, roughly, was 20%.

I can't believe Democrats are that flakey. How disgraceful. Dems should stop biting at one another and stick together they are wasting time and energy and in all of the wrong places. Obama and Hillary's policies don't even differ all that much.

I think Obama already had similar ideas to Hillary he just needed to find a way to make them sound different while he was actually saying the same thing, but thats where being an excellent speaker comes in handy.

McSame will go down in flames with the surviving neocons riding behind him, and they'll maybe even wind up in prison. I say we make 'em form nekkid pyramids in Gitmo on CNN. Then we'll release them unharmed but naked in Havana. Tell Jack it's his best hope for healthcare as a felon and non-US Citizen.

OK, I bought McCain for 40.50... If I am right I will get a 150% payoff, that is a decent risk:reward....

At the last election when Soros gave 10 millions to the Dems, he should have just bet on Dubya, to make it a win-win. If the Dems win, he is happy, if the Reps win, he is richer....

Instead he lost both the money and the election.... Always bet against your team.

me too
My husband wants to vote for McCain simply because he was a VietNam war hero. I bet there are others who feel the same way. I'm slowly but surely turning him to Obama.:tempted:

To be frank all candites suck, and i just don't want hilary to win cause she is the nanny behind the nanny state(she thinks she knows what is right for us.)
Also, Hilary just doesn't look like she'll win

Hillary has been in this and knows how to deal with issues more than any other candidate, so Hillary will win. 100%

McCain will bring us into yet another war...that is the problem, not just war with Iran and continuing Iraq war...but also possible escalation with Russia.

You have a good point about Diebold, it is hard to bet against the maker of the voting machines...especially when they were created without audit trails.

Kind of funny, but maybe except 2 posters (who agreeed with me) beside me nobody actually represented arguments why one candidate would win over the other.

It is just the usual wish list. I am not interested in that. The whole point of the thread is: would you be willing to bet serious money on your candidate??? And again, your wish and your bet could be completely different.(and as I pointed out, shouldn't be the same)

As long as the 2 eventual candidates are relative close in the polls in November this election will be stolen by the machines, just like the previous one. There is simply no reason to think otherwise....
