My past is in memory. It is what I did and done. But since I am not defined by what I do, I am not defined by anything in the past. The past is a thing we refer to in memory, it does not exist here and/or now. Only this always and evercoming present and exact moment is what I am living. That is me.

We never actually "do" anything. There is no such thing as a doer only intelligent action and reaction. Otherwise it would imply that my body is possessed by the psyche or the "me".

I am not a belief. Hence, I am not what I do. I am what I am - genetics and environment.

A friend sent me some Sri Nisargadatta and I also found many consistencies on the actual freedom website. Thought and self-study was still needed but they weren't enough. I sought a way out of my condition which doomed me to fail. Some people are just programmed for failure, that is what the grim reality dictates. On the 6th I had an awakening that revealed that my past was not my destiny as I was programmed to believe. Unmediated awareness made it clear to me that the infinite universe and the eternal now was all there is and ever will be. And that the spirit I sought was in my mind all along. The devil was no longer after me. Nothing before or after the moment exists and thus have no significance to me being here now.

It becomes more clear as we strip away the social veneer to reveal what we are - the universe manifesting itself as a body. We are the way we are because the universe is the way it is and there's no changing it. It is ourselves as a species we must change, one by one.

What we've done is a result of causality, learning, experiencing. What we are doing is just the same except it takes place now. By not being what I do, I can be free from criticisms and beliefs and simply be what I am - a living flesh and blood body.
