Oli 08-31-07, 03:53 PM For six years now (maybe more) i have completely foregone air conditioning.:) Anyone else? Never used it in my life. Avatar 08-31-07, 04:00 PM I wish there was some heat... It's been +11C today in Latvia, and now at night it's just +7C. /shivers MacGyver1968 08-31-07, 04:47 PM No a/c? Where do you live? North Texas in August without a/c is unbearable. I couldn't go 6 hours..much less 6 years. It's actually a cool 35c here today..its been 40c last week. too effin hot! I can't wait for fall! Fraggle Rocker 08-31-07, 04:47 PM For six years now (maybe more) i have completely foregone air conditioning. Why? Where do you live? When I was a kid we had no choice. Private residences and automobiles simply didn't have A/C. And we lived in frelling Arizona where the temperature was in the nineties (30-35C) on the vernal equinox. I still hold the entire universe guilty of child abuse for that experience. One of my aunts died during a heat wave in St. Louis about forty years ago. John99 08-31-07, 04:55 PM I has been close to 100 degrees and humid. Oniw17 08-31-07, 05:19 PM It's been hot here too. Nothing to complain about though, it happens every summer. Enmos 08-31-07, 07:37 PM I've never used any air conditioning either. superstring01 08-31-07, 08:56 PM I'm an AC user. I will say, that although the USA has been blessed with wonderful and fertile land, the ridiculous and humid summers are not even close to the tender, mild ones that Europeans are blessed with (the only comparable place in the States is coastal Oregon & Washington). In Arizona it's a legal requirement to build it in to houses & apartments now. In Florida with its horrific humidity it is also a necessity. Though I live in Cleveland now, I must say that the humidity in the summer is so unbearable that I do use the AC during the day and on selected nights. I have a grudging respect for the Spanish, who have remarkable tolerance to heat. On Tenerife (desert island off the coast of Morocco) it got pretty damned hot and few houses if any had AC (though the cool ocean breezes in the evening were a godsend). frelling I love that word. Plum forgot about it 'till I bought the box set online a few weeks ago. I still say it's one of the five best scifi series of all time. ~String shorty_37 08-31-07, 09:37 PM No Canadians are wimps and love our AC It gets too hot they say its 35 then with humidity 40 thats too damn hot. Xerxes 08-31-07, 09:39 PM Nope, I'm Canadian. But honestly, I'm jealous of Americas' hot, long summers. It's not even September and the leaves are already beginning to turn yellow. S.A.M. 08-31-07, 09:43 PM No AC, just a simple fan. I don't consider it healthy to live on processed air :p shorty_37 08-31-07, 09:43 PM Nope, I'm Canadian. But honestly, I'm jealous of Americas' hot, long summers. It's not even September and the leaves are already beginning to turn yellow. Oh yeah? not where I live not yet... maybe up north. I like the fall anyway its almost my favourite time of yr. shorty_37 08-31-07, 09:44 PM No AC, just a simple fan. I don't consider it healthy to live on processed air :p It's not healthy to breathe in outside air, when they issue smog alerts. francois 08-31-07, 09:51 PM I'm not an AC user either. I have AC in my car, but I don't use it even when it gets hot. I just don't like it. Heat is nice though. Heat is good. S.A.M. 08-31-07, 09:52 PM It's not healthy to breathe in outside air, when they issue smog alerts. Guess its unhealthy all round then. Norsefire 08-31-07, 10:10 PM it's hot as a bitch over here, and even though I constantly have my ac on, it doesn't seem to do a damn thing. i'm hot as i type these very words Gustav 08-31-07, 10:20 PM outside air is hereby known as emissions/exhaust filtration is a must on a sidenote a pox on the mexicans and their bottled water. socal has the cleanest and tastiest another pox on the japs and their respirators. its been mild and relative smog free this past decade. 07 might turn the corner tho take a gander at this http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/3083/usbmaskpo0.jpg /scoff hmm gonna jack my dick to usb and take the porn world by storm ps love you fraggle Gustav 08-31-07, 10:22 PM look out mandingo here i come Killjoy 08-31-07, 10:46 PM For six years now (maybe more) i have completely foregone air conditioning.:) Anyone else? No AC for this Cynic here in the Western Extents of the Soviet Socialist Republic of New York ... It's usually not insufferably hot during our Summers, though. A handfull of days above 90°F/33°C this year. A happy occurrence, nonetheless - because by January it might be 09° instead of 90° ! |
