I sometimes like to take two completely dissimilar stories and try to concieve how they could be connected. For instance, in the film Fight Club, the real name of the protagonist (Ed Norton’s character) is never revealed. Many believe the reason behind this anonymity is to give "Jack" more of an everyman quality. I like to think that "Jack" is really Calvin from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. It’s true. Norton portrays the grown-up version of Calvin, while Brad Pitt plays his imaginary pal, Hobbes, reincarnated as Tyler Durden. Does anyone else do this?
i still talk to my imaginary friend on days i get really lonely..but the witch keeps bringing up my childhood and wont shush about it so i get angry at her. what if i dont wanna relive it ? what if i dont wanna talk about it? who cares if i am not 10 any longer and i dont think like i use to!!!!!!!!
I haven't read the Fight Club book, but in the movie Edward Norton's character IS named Tyler Durden. Brad Pitt's character was just an image he conjured up to portray how he would like to look an act.
yet i stll LOVE that movie!! ok, so it was the one time brad pitt was truely cute... but the movies twists just grab me. and then I just can't stop watching it!! AHH!! I need to see it again!
Me too. For example, when I was watching Disctrict 9, I thought it would be cool if they recreated the famous scene from ET where Wikus would be riding a flying bicycle while the Prawn was sitting in a basket on the front.
