    well its fairly easy...

get eggs, milk, cream, and sugar, and salt.

Mix it correctly and freeze it with liquid nitrogen.

I don't know a recipe, but I add chocolate sauce and Guinness to vanilla ice cream and mix it up.

this is what we do. Both are coffee cans

2 clean metal cans, both with lids (make one can larger than the second)
1 cup of very cold whole milk
    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tbs chocolate syrup
    Ice
    Salt

Place the ice cream mixture in the smaller coffee can (make sure it's clean) and seal with the lid on tightly.
Place the smaller can in the larger can. Pour the ice and salt around the smaller can making sure it is more or less in the center.
Seal the larger can with its lid tightly and roll it around for about a half hour.

Why salt ? Is it just for taste or for some other purpose ?

The salt probably makes it sweeter.

    :wallbang:

where does it say (in my recipe) to add it to the ice cream mixture???

When you are making ice cream, the temperature around the ice cream mixture needs to be lower than 32 F if you want the mixture to freeze. Salt mixed with ice creates a brine that has a temperature lower than 32 F. When you add salt to the ice water, you lower the melting temperature of the ice down to 0 F or so. The brine is so cold that it easily freezes the ice cream mixture
