Does anybody know about some experiments that were performed using two subjects. I heard about this but would like more detail

I have a sketchy recall of the experiment so here it goes:
1. Done by someone call Taffe or Taith or some surname with a T

2. Involved two subjects. Each subject were hypnotised. Subject A would place Subject B under deeper trance state, and Subject B would place Subject A under deeper trance state. I am not sure how or what was the objective.

3. Experimenter would have each subject reporting their experience once in a while.

4. A point was reached where both subjects became non-communicative to experimenter.

5. After experiment completed, both subjects reported that they were still talking to each other even in non-communicative state.
