Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany has won a confidence vote in parliament amid a continuing row over his admission that he lied to voters

Earlier on Friday he apologised for his conduct, after admitting lying to voters in April's election campaign.

the opposition:

"The Socialists... have entrapped the country and want to sacrifice the country for a lying politician," Mr Orban said. "All constitutional, democratic and parliamentary means must be used to oust Ferenc Gyurcsany."

Can politicians be trusted?

Is this what happens if you do not punish those in power of a corrupt regime? (the old communists). They think they can get away with anything. And the people think it is better to join the corruption than to stand up to it because corruption doesn't get punishment, but it does get rewarded!

Painting all politicians for the actions of a few?? That don't sound too nice, does it?

Corruption according to whose definitions or viewpoints??? Can each of us select something that we don't like, then punish anyone and everyone who does that 'something'? Is that the way you'd like to see nations operate?

Wouldnt something like that be "Government by Protest"? Is that what you want, Spurious? Or perhaps "Government by Public Demonstration"? And hwo would you administer such a method? ...count the number of people protesting? ...make them vote? ...every time something comes up for which the government must deal? We'd all be doing nothing but voting!!

Term limits! It's the only viable method of controlling the growth of a person's power. Simply limit him to one four-year term ...all congressmen, all politicians, of all governments.

History is filled with politicians changing the term limit.
