View Full Version : Human space exploration... superluminal 03-09-07, 06:21 PM 111 Nikelodeon 03-09-07, 06:23 PM Quite fun if you happen to be the lucky human. draqon 03-09-07, 06:24 PM I am trying to be part of that exploration in my lifetime. ...believe me its tough, I want to spit at the many people I must go through, but I hold my temper because I know NASA will not tolerate any violence. I dream of going on Mars, of those orange dunes and dying there. S.A.M. 03-09-07, 06:26 PM Vote. Discuss. Is there supposed to be a poll? draqon 03-09-07, 06:32 PM Its a key to human existence. Its a challenge to concepts of non existing Gods. Nikelodeon 03-09-07, 06:32 PM Just as people explored the oceans, other lands, they will explore space. I'm sure when people ventured off into the unknown back then, they hadn't solved all their problems at home first. Maybe they were even escaping the problems at home...... draqon 03-09-07, 06:38 PM http://www.survivalarts.com/images/astronaut_helmet.jpeg Death may stop many, but it will not stop us all. Because Space is worth more than life itself. EndLightEnd 03-09-07, 06:38 PM Plus if were around long enough to see our sun turn into a red giant, we will HAVE to take to space if we hope to survive as a species. draqon 03-09-07, 06:58 PM What are some of the reasons for humans to explore the moon, planets, asteroids, comets, and beyond? Why not just stay at home and let robots do all the work? because of need of resources, place to live, and hazards of just staying on Earth and having it as the only place of civilization. Besides world beyond have got much more to offer than Earth does. draqon 03-09-07, 07:10 PM Well, maybe. But there are some very real and good reasons (IMO) for actual humans to move beyond the earth. I'm not disagreeing with you here. I'm just trying to get someone else to come up with good, solid reasons. * if there are aliens, than perhaps they are testing us if we can pass through the initial civilization stage of nuclear force hold-down * Expanding into another world, than Earth, will allow us to evolve and to change our understanding of life Communist Hamster 03-09-07, 07:26 PM Well, maybe. But there are some very real and good reasons (IMO) for actual humans to move beyond the earth. I'm not disagreeing with you here. I'm just trying to get someone else to come up with good, solid reasons. Resources, research, living space. Pretty much the same reasons exploration has always had.
