Just found a well written article on how to prevent cancer, the biggest killer out there.

Of course, it's good to follow this for general health too. Good reading.. :m:

I am a high school student and for my sophomore year science fair I studied the effects of lycopene (a hydrocarbon carotenoid) in bothg preventing and treating prostate, lung, and colon mouse cancer. I had good results with lung, ok with prostate, and nothing with colon.

So, from my experiences, lycopene is pretty good for you. Try not to develop lycopenemia though. : )

Smoking marijuana increases the risk of head and neck (cancers of the mouth, tongue, larynx, and pharynx) cancers. There is a reason medicinal marijuana is not prescribed to lung cancer patients who already have compromised respiratory conditions.

I would suggest you if you want to remain cancer free avoid enviromental exposure to harmful carcinogens as well as watching your diet.

they did tests and THC stops the blood flow to tumors and helps reduce it. the nicotine increases cancer chances, THC reduces.

The fact is by smoking marijuana you still have carcinogens entering your body which increases the risk of head and neck cancer. THC stops the flow to established tumors. It does not decrease the actual risk of developing a tumor and if THC stopped the flow significantly then it would be used in the treatment of cancer delivered by other means than by smoking marijuana, there are other EGFR kinase inhibitors which work much better than THC and are in use.

THC is a anti-oxdiant and if you use a vaprizer or make caps, or eat it in food i feal preficlty fine with the health benfits

still, i'd have to say the best way to prevent cancer is to die young. kind of like abstinence is the best way to avoid STDs. :D
but seriously, if you live long enough you will get cancer. i've stoppped worrying about it.

A couple of years ago I read about trying to give vaccin against some cancer types. Anyone who knows any more about the results of this?
