When I hear your surprise from strong Iraqis resistance I'm sure that you - west people have omitted something. You are sure that life and condition of living are on the first position on priorities list in every human minds. You are sure that that is certain way to control other people by giving them or taking out the goods or life - so you don't believe in cases when it doesn't work. Of-course you can't understand that cases because you have born, grown and lived in continuous prosperity. If you perform the experiment when you observe some people under worse and worse condition you can see that some of them on certain level of suffering start to ask themselves basic question like why I' living? who are all these people around me? what is really important? and etc. and first time in their live they start to give themselves true answers. It resulting in strange thing; from external perspective they are suffering more and more but their internal view is quite different: suffering brings more resistance (skills) into their live. Prosperity and even life are not more so important than before. The true importance is focused on self conformity, on true, on family, on God and other strange things which you forgot a long time ago. So let's see again on Iraq - 12 years sanctions aimed to turn Iraqis anger against Saddam Hussein brought quite opposite result - they became strong and brave people who love their land and their president. I think that at least 20% of their population are ready for death for their freedom (not this freedom which come together with US army, but the present one). So what are the perspective for this war? Even you will be able to defeat Iraq army and establish some puppet regime, many of Iraqis will never accept that new order - they will copy Palestinian approach to invader - suicide bombing and similar, but not in Palestinian scale - let imagine suicide bomber blown himself at 10000 cubic meters tank of oil!. Don't forget about Iran - next target on your list - they (Iranians) will feed Iraqis with explosives because it is in the line of their business. So the next will be Iran for sure, but because of their nukes, US will attack with greater power, probably with nukes. This will be enough for China and maybe Russia to start to protect their business in "more active" way and we have in result fine worldwide WAR. Therefore answering to the question asked at the beginning: 100 - 200 millions is enough? or 1 billion - answer yourselves.
To be not so dramatic I have to say that God will forget about you - his lost children and will bring the suffer to you countries to let you grow up - now I can see it very clearly.
