For the last week my right eye lid has been twitching and I feel like falling asleep while driving... in the morning, mid day, or late at night. I'm getting 8 hours of sleep a night and I'm not stressed at all...

    What's up with this?

Sounds like it could possibly be sleep apnea. If it's bad enough, you might want to get it checked out. It is fairly common, you know.

And this developed in the last two weeks? That doesn't make much sense.

As far as I understand, it comes about gradually... and sleep apnea suffers are usually lard asses, right? I'm not a lard ass.

Besides, before all of this happened I was energetic and gettings things done... then blam... I can't stay awake.

I'm starting to question my recent diet.. which hasn't been anywhere near great in the last month or so.

Sometimes I get the twitching eye thing. Has it happened everday for the last week? How long does the twitching last?

Everyday... for a week. My eyelid will twitch on and off for a minute then stop. Then a few minutes later to a few hours later, it will start again.

I only have that happen periodically. I have never had it everyday for a length of time like you. Maybe if it continues you should get it checked out esp since you are so tired too.

    Absane:

    1) change your diet...your not getting veggies/fruits
    2) sleep 10 hours a day
    3) stop watching television or any tv/computer screen
    4) take jacuzzi to relax more

I drank a big glass of orange juice and it seems to have stopped the twitching. This makes me think that I am becoming potassium deficient. My diet has sucked big time in the last 3-4 weeks.

I can't function on more than 9 hours of sleep... I end up feeling "dumb" all day. 7-8 hours is optimal for me.

I don't watch TV and most of my time is spent working.

I don't want to be in a jacuzzi.

    Thanks for the suggestions, though.

I think my boyfriend had the eye twitching too. I remember the dr saying it was probably due to stress, but you say you aren't stressed.

Could it be that the twitchy eye is stressing you and the more it bothers you the more it does it? I'd take a Midol (muscle relaxer) and it wouldn't happen and then I wouldn't stress over it and then it would stop.

So your suggestion is Absane take Midol...... maybe he can relieve his menstrual cramps at the same time. :bugeye:

It could be a micronutrient deficiency. Take a good multivitamin multimineral supplement.

If it doesn't stop, it can be an allergic reaction or a neurological symptom.

    Get it checked out.

You could try cutting the offending eyelid off. That would probably eliminate both problems.
