Good guess, of course "canada" has the 2nd largest land area of all countries, so you can see how funny it is for us to have Americans just dismiss anything north of the 49th as "Canada". Bob and Doug Mackenzie sure had you guys pegged.
cool (no punn intended) saw a good doc about syberia, and how the rural people survive the -40 temps. at that temp, the body slows down as lack of energy is the main problem. the syberians eat a lot of fatty horse meat.
We almost had a green Christmas last year...and now we have two feet of snow. What happened to all that lovely global warming we were promised?
I know it is colder here then usual at this time of year. They say this winter is supposed to be really bad. Last yr you could go out on Christmas Day in a sweatshirt and there was no snow.
It's 30 degrees Celcius where I am. (That's 86 Farenheit for all you Americans stuck with an outdated temperature scale.)
This is true!!! To be honest it must have been on the news or something, because everyone I bump into keeps telling me the same thing. I have always said I will beleive it when I see it.
About the same here. Only very humid and sticky. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I've just come in from a swim with the kids and they are still in the pool with their father.
today it was around 15C but its gone up as far as 25 in the last week. oh how i hate summer. i went for a swim in the irrigation pond at lunch yesterday, most refreshing after 4 hours out in the sun.
-11c right now going down to -21 tonight. Minus single digits for the rest of the week except night when it goes to -20's. So things are warming up for the time being.
