Would growing more in-house plants (corridor corners) promote more cooler temperatures through-out?
And, number-wise, what type of change in temperature are we talking about?

You'd have to provide light for the photosynthesis process to work. You'd have to use solar-spectrum fluorescent lighting to avoid generating more waste heat than your plants will use.
Popular houseplants survive in normal household illumination levels but they don't exactly thrive. They're chosen for the deployment because they're fairly slow-growing and not very demanding of energy. I suspect that their sluggish metabolism will probably not make a measurable difference in the ambient temperature.
dont forget their effect on the humidity. they require a lot of water. too much humidity is not good for the building.
