Israelis trained US troops in Jenin-style urban warfare (The Independent) (http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/story.jsp?story=391823)

I won't bother quoting any of the text. The "Hornet's Nest" refers not only to urban combat, but the debate that such topics tend to induce.

I don't care about the Jewish Conspiracies, I don't care about the Zionist Press or Hollywood institutions. All I care about is that depending on the degree of truth in this story, Baghdad will be a proportionally deep sea of blood.

Okay, one quote. Bear in mind through it all that, "Reports that US troops trained with Israeli forces for street-to-street fighting have been denied."

1. It's a good idea that the US military learns these lessones, so it can avoid some of the mistakes and reduce number of casulties
2. Jenin was the less sucsessful event from the Israeli point of view, it was a military blunder. The bulduzers went in after the soldiers were ambushed and suffered heavy casulties. The rest of the cities and refugee camp in the west bank were taken with very little casulties (on the Israeli side)

Let's hope America regains some sanity and humility before things degenerate that far.

<i>"The ashes are going to be terrible. It is going to be bloody. It will be preparation for Iran and north Korea."</i>

Such is war.

Only if they surrender their weapons and give up the fight first.

We lose more than 2000 men in this war we just carpet bomb. They are free to surrender any time they want.

Damn i need to dig up the quote again but some American general said of the war party that if they want to win in Bagdhad and keep it, they will have to go in a La Isreal, with guns and Bulldozers.

so what city no longer exists?Mosul is still standing, but last night even the embedded networks in the US were talking about "carpet bombing" on the outskirts of Mosul. Maybe it was BBC.

However, Google News (http://news.google.com/news?q=carpet+bombing&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wn) provides only a couple of points about Carpet Bombing, and there appears to be a debate about whether or not it's going on.

A source of questionable reliability, since I really don't know where it comes from: Russian Military Intelligence: Carpet bombing commencing (Khalifah) (http://www.khilafah.com/home/category.php?DocumentID=6641&TagID=2).

However, without doubting Bowser on this one, I'm going to have to look into the Reuters' feed. Specifically, getting it for myself.
